The Agusta A109 Power, while retaining the well proven A109 family design, now introduces significant technological innovations while offering superior performance and versatility. The A109 Power is equipped with two Pratt & Whitney 206C or two Turbomeca Arrius 2K1 engines controlled by a full authority digital engine control system (FADEC). The cabin allows he quick configuration change from passenger transport to EMS operation or to any other mission requirement. The A109 Power features a main rotor head in titanium with elastomeric bearings and blade grips and blades in composite material. The improved aerodynamics and the new digitally controlled engines contribute to reduce the fuel consumption, at the ame ime increasing the range and payload. The crew workload is also reduced thanks to a full LCD cockpit. |
